Certified Safety Specialist (CSS)

IOSHA Qualifications Board UK proudly offers the Certified Safety Specialist (CSS) certification, accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) — a globally recognised authority for professional standards, based in the USA. The CSS is a pioneering certification within the UK, covering safety, health, environmental, and ergonomics disciplines, and is accredited under the stringent IAS/ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard for personnel certification. IOSHA Qualifications Board UK upholds its reputation as an accredited certification body through rigorous procedures and oversight by the IAS.

The purpose of the CSS certification is to advance professional competence and excellence in the field of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS). Earning the CSS credential verifies that certified professionals have satisfied established benchmarks for education, relevant competence, and practical experience.

The qualification standards for achieving CSS status are demanding — applicants must hold an accredited degree and demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience in a relevant safety role.
